Research scope
Our standard product reviews are research-based. We use official product material, documentation, public records, independent public sources, and available customer feedback. We do not claim hands-on access, usability testing, or performance testing unless a review explicitly says that testing occurred.
Product evidence
Claims about coverage, workflows, integrations, pricing, and product changes must be supported by accepted evidence. Conflicting or unresolved findings do not become public product claims. The source count shown on a Review includes unique research URLs that contributed accepted evidence; search-result pages, duplicates, failed pages, rejected sources, and raw customer-review pages are excluded.
Each Review shows a limited key-source list for the claims retained in the article. Customer-review analysis is counted separately from research sources.
Customer-review analysis
We analyze public customer-review signals and publish aggregate statistics, recurring themes, trends, and concise summaries. We do not republish full third-party review text. Employee reviews, editorial articles, forums, testimonials, and unknown authors are separate research signals and are excluded from customer-review statistics.
This analysis reflects public customer reviews we could identify and access at the time of collection; the displayed source mix may influence the patterns shown.
- Reviews are deduplicated by their native identifier when available, otherwise by a text fingerprint.
- Fewer than five accepted customer reviews do not produce public percentages or trend claims.
- Timeline periods use review publication dates. Reviews without a usable publication date remain in overall totals but not in the timeline.
- Only periods containing dated reviews are shown; gaps between labels mean no dated reviews were available for those periods.
- Periods with fewer than five reviews are marked as a limited sample.
Editorial scores
The Reviews.vc score is editorial and remains separate from customer sentiment. Each category defines its own criteria and evidence rules. A criterion is scored only when its required evidence is available; otherwise it is shown as Not scored and excluded from the overall average.
Scores use half-point increments. Neutral disclosures, including unavailable public pricing when pricing is not a category criterion, remain visible in their relevant section but do not raise or lower the editorial score.
Updates and corrections
Reviews show their last verified date and material revision history. When accepted evidence changes, we update the affected claims and rerun the relevant quality checks. We preserve uncertainty instead of filling evidence gaps with assumptions.
