An amendment can replace an attachment, change the scope, answer supplier questions, or move the deadline. How can a response team make sure no change gets missed?

Add every amendment to one versioned log. Record its number, publication date, changed sections, replaced attachments, new deadline, acknowledgment requirement, and the person who reviewed it.

Then update the compliance matrix, response schedule, assignments, and any draft sections affected by the change. Use the issuing agency’s notice as the authoritative copy, and keep the earlier files instead of overwriting them.

For federal negotiated procurements, FAR 15.206 requires that changes to requirements or terms be issued through an amendment and identifies the basic information an amendment should contain. FAR 14.208 covers amendments to invitations for bids. Local procedures may differ, but the operational control is the same: one current version, a named reviewer, and a recorded impact check.
