Webhooks can reduce polling but may lose or duplicate events. What should the buyer require?
Accepted answerDefine event types, payload versioning, authentication, ordering, delivery latency, retry schedules, duplicate identifiers, replay, failure logs, retention, monitoring, and support. The receiver should process events idempotently and reconcile them against a source-of-truth API. Test outages and delayed recovery, not just successful delivery. FAR Subpart 37.6 supports measurable service quality and a stated assessment method.
