What makes the Hydroviv filter different from all other water filters is the “city-specific” aspect. Eric and his crew of “Water Nerds,” scientists in environmental policy, biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, surface science and informatics (the science of using data and knowledge to improve human health), collect and study data on water quality from local, county, state and federal databases to identify contaminants and susceptibilities—far above and beyond what a water sample could do. They are then able to optimize the water filters according to the users’ location. And their oversight continues. They monitor a water supply to make sure nothing changes. If and when something does, they send out a replacement cartridge at no cost to the consumer.
When you consider the list of contaminants, it’s no wonder that a “one size fits all” product is not going to work: arsenic; volatile organic compounds (VOCs); polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), highly toxic industrial compounds; methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), a carcinogenic fuel oxygenate; mercury; cysts, small infectious microbe; pesticides; pharmaceuticals; petroleum-based chemicals; chlorine; chloramine; disinfection byproducts and so many many more. In addition, factors such as pH and hardness come into play, and removal percentages can vary greatly from one area to another.
Some of the advantages of the Hydroviv are:
The system meets or exceeds filtration performance standards set forth by National Science Foundation Standard 53 for dissolved/particulate lead and chromium 6 removal.
Removes only the toxic chemicals like lead, arsenic and chromium 6 and leaves behind beneficial minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
Installs easily. All connections are screw on and screw off. There is no cutting, drilling or expensive professional installation needed.
Does not take up all the space under the kitchen sink or bathroom vanity.
Eric and his crew value working on products that have a positive effect on people’s lives on an everyday basis, and they continue to develop products and solutions that were once only available to the military and corporations.

Hydroviv has always been very quick to respond with any questions I’ve had. The service has been consistent and I’m happy with the filter. So much easier than using a separate pitcher that I have to fill each time. Great that it just attaches to the regular faucet.

Very unfortunate and unfair experience with Hydroviv Under-Sink Water System. Im a disabled veteran and I purchased just one filter system with the promise for clean, readily accessible water for my kitchen sink.
Regrettably, my experience has been far from satisfactory or desirable. From the beginning I tried to open the filter system and couldn’t. I emailed customer service several times until they responded. You cant call them. They do not answer phones. Very antiquated company. Dealing with a lack of professionalism and customer service it’s not something I expected to face after investing in a water filtration system designed to improve my household and the price being charged.
I was told to install the system anyway. Why would anyone do that? I cant remove the filter cap!! If installed they would not accept a return. Returns are a joke with this company too! I told them my issues, im disabled, a veteran, older and cant open the cap holding the filter. They dont have a customer friendly return policy. You have to pay the shipping to send this back and top of all this they charge you a 25% restock fee!! its defective!
Its a scamming company that feeds upon disabled older folks. I was told exceptions could be made for the restocking fee. Then I was told after sending it back that there are no exceptions. It was uninstalled, in the original box with nothing missing.
In conclusion, I wont be buying any other products from Hydroviv. I recommend staying away from this company because they are unprofessional and scammers. When investing in a water filtration system, the customer seeks trust, confidence, and a peace of mind, not feeling being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, my experience with Hydroviv has not delivered on these expectations and should be shunned and investigated.

Used a water testing kit and didn’t see any noticeable differences with the filter vs. Not the filter.
After a few months the water pressure was so low it was basically unusable.
For the price, I should have purchased a reverse osmosis.
