A buyer may pay for workflows, reports, interfaces, and documentation created during implementation. What rights should be clearly defined?
Accepted answerList each deliverable and distinguish buyer data, standard vendor software, configuration, custom code, interfaces, reports, and documentation. Define ownership or license scope, access, reuse, modification, third-party support, delivery format, and rights after termination. Do not assume payment transfers intellectual property rights. FAR Subpart 27.4 shows why data and software rights must be stated explicitly.
